Just wondering what source materials we're allowed to use. I may or may not have downloaded a complete set of 2nd edition books and would like to know what we should embrace and what we should stay away from.

For the time being stick with the Player's Handbook.
We are using the Player's Option: Combat and Tactics book for combat but that is because it is what I prefer. Feel free to look the other stuff over although I would suggest you stay away from things like the Monster Manual, etc. Things meant for my eyes only.

Okay. The only reason I ask is because the download included a lot of player's sources like class books and stuff. I'll limit myself to the pbh though, thanks.

Spellcasters feel free to use the "Tome of Magic", I forgot it is considered a core book.
