The thoughts of Atty

As a wanderer who stumbled into the town seeking to restore the balance of this battle torn area everything that has happened has been a lot to take in. Since arriving I have seen lots of death and suffering from such a concentrated area. Between the attacking pirates, the wave, and various other people the town has been mostly destroyed and is on its last leg. The people I have met and are currently going around with seem to be edgy, but well meaning. Otis, Moji, and La tey seem to be great fighters and they have been training a people to make up the new town guard. Kalvash appears to be a smart man who has lots of experience in the world that he has acquired through his many years of living, he has become the party leader and the towns lead investigator. Aradel is very mysterious to me, she hangs out a lot with Kalvash and even sleeps in the same bed, yet they are not lovers, but she has been helping the towns people in trying to rebuild and re-cooper.  Shortly after arriving a seemingly powerful being called "The wave" showed up and slaughtered many people for no reason, he was given what he desired and left, making sure to leave the town in ruins. After that we went to visit an old farm to track down the coward mayor who fled during the wave's visit. He turned out to be dead and a horrible man called "Scalawag John" and his wife, who was the mayors daughter, appeared to have killed him. The wife was very snappy and I had to save her life after the Elf Aradel used some sort of magic on her, this surprised me in a couple ways 1. An Elf got very angry at a human and 2. magic users still exist, I was amazed to see this, but also very terrified for her...she is apart of a dead form. Next we took part in a voyage to get back some books from the pirate stronghold where we apparently died by a huge tentacle monster and Aradel and Moji had a friend who talked to us after we were dead and somehow brought us back to life where he proceed to drop us in the pirate's jail. We somehow talked our way out of the place and the leader let us go giving Otis a special mission of releasing a being from a "door" located amoungst the magical portals of the town we were staying at. We now have to trek back on foot a three days journey to go back to the town with the books, but with much more at hand.

Being away from my forests for so long has started to make me somewhat sad, i'm not used to being in cities and hope that we soon return to the area around the city of greyhawk. However, this town does need a lot of help and I will do my best to see that it gets that help. I have no idea what lies ahead, but I know it will not be easy.
