In summation, after the chat with Moji, Dynar Ironbeard was given the impression that Moji cared more about his dog than a fellow dwarf. This left a sour taste in the chief's mouth which led to the dwarves abrupt leaving of the establishment.
Cob did not "blow off" Dave's chance at roleplaying, Moji's attitude made the scene play out that way.
