I had always hung around the markets of our home town and peered into the crowds gazing at what they had to sell and looking at them with aww. Eventually I noticed the same people heading to the markets and freeing some trinkets from the shop owners. One day I approached them and after some swaying they took me under their wings and began to teach me things. They taught me how to determine the cost of items, it took me a bit but after long practice I became very good at what they called appraising. The most important thing they taught me of all was how to read lips. They told me that this was a very important skill, for it could give me valuable information on the items I wish to collect and if I payed close enough attention it could alert me to on coming trouble. They taught me the tricks of our trade and in return I did some tasks for them, I would lift things and give it to them as a quest. They eventually gave me tools called Thieves Picks and taught me howto use them. They told me I Had to hide them or find a way to carry them in a legal way. I spoke with my father about becoming a locksmith and he helped me get a licence to allow my to be a lock smith. After getting the proper papers I began to act the role of a lock smith to get some extra money on the side and to keep my other side a secret. My brother and I became bored of our static life in the Sascas Hills, so we concocted a plan to leave and still have a successful life. He was a master chef and I was pretty good at hunting and had made attempts at fishing. So together we decided that he would venture out to see if others wanted his fine dwarf-en cuisine, later if their was a market for it i would join him and we would travel and sell. He would cook the food and brew fine drink, where I would hunt for it and sell it, along with any other trinkets I "found" along the way. We figured it would work out well and it did for a while, we traveled far and sold so much. For a parting gift our father gave us each a shield to take as a memento of our home. As a result of our success I assumed the title Hordak Entrepreneur Extraordinaire. Our Father had taught us many languages to learn to talk with customers that came in to the shop, this helped us on our travels as we reached far lands. From our travels I found about some customs of the lands we traveled to and began to use them to gain more coin. We were on our way to Greyhawk traveling with a large caravan when i assume my brother wondered off. At the time of his disappearance I was asleep. Once I awoke he was long gone and the caravan was moving on. Once I arrived in Greyhawk I awaited his arrival while selling what things we had left. I kept low and didn't acquire many trinkets while I awaited his return.
