THE SCROLLS OF GASPAR
The Scrolls of Gaspar are five wound parchments of spell research and theory written by Gaspar F'Radn, a necromancer who briefly lived in Renalse and was highly influential in the Renalsian politics. in the 3750's. Though his stance on the use of magic was sometimes unscrupulous there can be no doubt that his scientific breakthroughs are of the highest caliber. Gaspar died in his native Ozzen a simple quill merchant in 3777.
The scrolls are written with demon blood and contain several unique necromancy spells, mostly dealing with the beneficial or malevolent use of life force and the transference of said force. The scrolls have been seen by only four sentient beings. These are Gaspar, Prince B., Dorian (who was Gaspars apprentice) and Marcord Atreides. Marcord did not understand the true nature of the scrolls but knew they allowed him to 'heal' quicker than most people. Perhaps possessing them is all that was required. The scrolls recently (3708) came into the possession of Marius the Black, one of the former Arch Mages of the Mystical Tower of the Graystone Forest. What secrets Marius can unlock from these scrolls is yet to be determined.
