The Dungeon Master, Eioin Boughsinger, and 1 more like this

The caravan breaks through the thick fog only to find a huge creature waiting for us.
"To ARMS!" I yell as I grab my spear and drop from my horse. I set my spear into the ground waiting for the creature to charge in. All deserve life and the ability to choose their own place in the world, and those who would place others in shackles or control them with oppressive laws must be toppled. At once the beast burst into action crashing impaling itself on my spear. Train the common folk to defend themselves and their property should another wish to take their freedoms. It charges past me to attack one of Eioin's men, so I spot an opening and thrust my spear into its side. If you are wronged, you have the right to exact vengeance yourself, especially if none will help you. I whisper to myself "Trithereon guide me." The monstrosity rips through Eioin's follower and I take the opportunity to shove my spear into its back, it turns around and faces me...and it was at this point I realized I dun fucked up. The beast stars me down and takes takes two swipes at me. In an instant I feel my chest burst into pain and my clothes feel heavy with liquid. I fall down almost in slow motion as a the creature erupts into what I can only describe as raw energy. I hit the ground with a hard thud and the world grows dim as it closes in on me...
"So...even with all those that can't hold their own, you fall so readily."
The sound of a hawk above startles me from my slumber and I wake to a strange man covered in golden chain mail. I can barley see the blue clothes under his armor. He shifts his feet and his broadsword clinks with a scepter. My eyes cling to a spear he carries and I follow it to his face, adorned with the most peculiar mixture of red and gold hair.
"Who are you," I nervously ask scanning the area. I'm surrounded by forest and am on a path I've never seen. "Where am I."
"You should know...follow me," He turns and walks down the path, I'm quick to follow. My mind is racing with memories and tales spoken by Jansedor. He stops at a fork in the road. "You can head down the right path and continue in a comfort, but you will leave behind those that need your help, those who wish to exact vengeance on those who oppress. Or, you turn left and head to a terrible world full of hate and tyranny. You will be hurt, come close to death, and kill many. However, in doing so you will bring freedom to the masses. To achieve this, no sacrifice is too dear," I talk in unison with him "the end justifies the means."
I walk left and spot a bloodhound in the distance and it runs at me. I look back to the man, but he is gone. The continues to run, my eyes drift back to it and it changes. I realize I'm not looking at a normal bloodhound. This one is as big as a horse and it has one purpose, run me down.
Death at the gates again, howling my name, can't greet you today, I've got a fight to win.
"Not this time Nemoud." Given my options I charge forward once more. My feet slow and turn to mush as the world grows dark again. The pain returns, the weight of my body drags me down. Suddenly i feel a rush of energy flow through me.
"Holy fuck," Adria is above me, casting a spell. "Guess I'm not dead."
"Are you ok?"
"I'm ok, Guess I'm still alive." Adria begins to speak once more, but I'm too distant...suddenly I find Eioin making his way to me.
"What are you doing?"
Kneeling beside the creature I try to harvest the pelt. "Well...th...this is hard to hit, I want the pelt"
"Not for me; in the future what should you do?"
"Stand back?"
"What's the most important thing...I have the power to kill, destroy evil. Protect." He continues on and I explain how I can craft this hide into strong armor. He then puts his palm to my head and bestows his god's blessings upon me making me feel a lot better and clearing some of my scars. He talks on, but the voice fades as it hits my ears. All I can think of is the dream...or the vision, whatever I just had. The man, he had to be Trithereon; my god. Had he visited me? Did he help make sure I can fight another day? I have too, many questions and no answers.
