SYLVISTE
Sylviste of the Stone Forest, or Kullturanthas as it is called in Granithsma (the stone elven tongue) had a happy childhood. He found out at an early age that he was skilled at hiding during game playing or when he was in trouble.
He excelled in most games and sports and he grew stronger than most of his race. He also showed an aptitude for scholarly pursuits including rudimentary arcane exercises.
When he was of age he began to help in his community. At this time he was living some 5 kleks north of Bramkirk (Graystone Castle).
Syylviste found himself bored with the normal professions. He was granted leave by his father to go and study with Andelliuth, an old family friend skilled in the arts of magic and of spying. He taught Sylviste sleight of hand, moving silently, picking pockets and locks, finding and removing traps, and a basic familiarity with the known languages of Mikhal. Andelliuth also taught Sylviste some of the higher arts of the arcane, including how to make a spell book and how to record spells that Sylviste might find one day.
A few years later Sylviste decided he would help protect Kullturanthas from the Denalsites. He was spying on the enemy troop movements when he realized the Stone elf army was massing for an all out assault on the Denalsite city of Nornladriath (Poducca).
He was unable to join in the combat inside the city walls but he did witness the destruction of Bramkirk by a blue dragon.
After the battle he learned his people were leaving Kullturanthas to join with the Emerald elves to the north. He decided to stay and fight against the Denalsites, alone if need be.
Sylviste wandered north and after crossing the Azlotian river he heard of a resistance movement by a group called the CELTs. He was tired, cold, and hungry by the time he reached Levindy.
This is where Sylviste met Durant and Foxbane.
Sylviste is of average height and weight for a Stone elf. He is very bitter against the Denalsites, with good reason. He is athletic and intelligent but his sometimes rash decisions show his youth.
