Church Hierarchy:
Pommade [Full Blood Elves Only]
[Leader of the Church. Elected to life term by the Nvrastoll epSal]
Nvrastoll epSal (Senior Bishop) [1 + years / Full Blood Elves Only]
{Title given to those Bishops selected to be in the Pommade’s retinue.}
Nvrastoll (Bishop) [10 – 200 years or remain in place]
Muluiundai epSal (Senior Abbot) [given after 20 years as a Muluiundai]
Muluiundai (Abbot) [1 - 3 years or remain in place] Daglnoroithundai (Chancellor of the School)
Schalendogos (Prior Magistrates)
Humunous (Priest) [6 – 10 years or remain in place]
Vrullomuis (Acolyte) [1 – 5 years]
Svolsthevum (Brother) [2 – 4 years]
Noathmundala (Accepted) [6 years]
There are sects among all of these categories. Just as there are Muluiundai for almost everything in life and nature, there are several Humunous sects. When a Humunous is raised from Vrullomuis, he must make a choice as to which of these partitions (or sects) he will enter within the Brotherhood.
These sects have come and gone over the millenniums and there is not a fixed amount or names. Currently there are seven sects each named for the Pommade who ruled when they were formed. Two sects formed and were ordained while Pomade Moncelet was in office.
(1) Marinatha Brothers- They enter the forests and sometimes are never heard from again. They choose the secluded, meditative life. This is the ‘newest’ sect only five hundred years old and it is the quickest growing one. Named for Pommade Nevestu Marinatha, who was the last Pommade to ordain a sect. He died fifty years ago and left Nvrastoll epSal Tarien Suuenthanl to take his place.
(2) Moncabrie Life- These are Humunous who shun money or wealth of any kind instead dedicating their lives to living amongst the poorest people and trying to make their lives less oppressive.
(3) Moncelet Vigilants- These Humunous are militant preachers who have little tolerance of other faiths and do not hesitate to confront them. They have also been known to destroy whole villages who fail to convert and set fire to other faith’s temples and religious centers.
(4) Moncelet Scribes- Humunous who are devoted to copying down the written word and passing it from generation to generation devote their lives to the Moncelet Scribe sect. Quietly, these are the most powerful sect having the ear of most of the influential Nvrastoll because of their vast libraries and book collections. At every official event, at least one Moncelet Scribe will be there to preserve forever the activities at the event.
(5) Maillaret Declarers- Maillaret Declarers are evangelical Humunous attempting to “street corner” convert people of any race to follow the Corellon Larethian path. These Humunous are very few and their sect is all but dead. It is very unusual to hear about one of their sect.
(6) Mauduit Travelers- Humunous that range far and wide to see the wonderful world Corellon Larethian created for them and the creatures he has placed into it.
(7) Meritari Rocks- These are Humunous who move into an area and integrate themselves in that particular community. Their driving force is to create a sound foundation for the everyday celebration of Corellon Larethian. This is the largest sect in the Brotherhood.
Names in bold Italics are FEMALE. E = Elf / H = Human / M = Mixed racial makeup * = Has Granted Priest Powers
The number corresponds to the sect each has chosen to belong to within the faith.

Humunous
There are fifty-six men and twelve women who are named Humunous. Three of these are endowed by Corellon Larethian with holy special powers. Eioin Bowsinger (M 6), Tarbert Pethwick (E 4), and Ganwieghn Collingwood (E 6).
There are thirty-four men and fourteen women who are named Vrullomuis (Acolyte). None of these have been given the gift.
There are twenty-eight men and nine women who are named Svolsthevum (Brother). None of these have been given the gift.
There are sixteen boys and twenty-two girls who are named Noathmundala (Accepted). None of these have been given the gift.
Eioin sat and watched the blue-gray smoke lift up and then drift away slowly towards the canopy of tree boughs which formed the roof over the clear he sat in.
Since becoming one of the Noathmundala (or “Accepted” in the Common tongue), he’d spent many days in this place. Created upon land with its nearby hot springs and mud pools, it is the most holy of all of the places where Corellon Larethian is worshipped.
Eioin’s attention was drawn to five young accepted boys who were moving about at a quick pace. They were sloshing water, carrying firewood, sacks of potatoes and onions, moving tents and in general anything one of their superiors instructed them to do. Now he sat back being ready this day to be raised to the level of Humunous.
Eioin smiled to himself remembering his time as a Noathmundala. It was a brief, intense period that weeded out those who didn’t have the dedicated mind, heart and muscles to be a Humunous dedicated to the path of Corellon Larethian. He was one of the youngest ever to be entered into the Brotherhood. But he took to the disciplined life quickly, learning everything that was thrown at him. The Elven Nvrastoll ( or “Bishops”) and the Daglnoroithundai (“Chancellor”) attributed this to the part human blood which flowed through his veins.
In less than three years (half of the regular time necessary), Eioin, in his first ceremony, was raised from the entry Noathmundala stage to the next level of his training. The title given was at this period was Svolsthevum (or “Brother”). Being a Svolsthevum was the time Eioin learned to read and write. It wasn’t the easiest for him for in addition to his education in letters and numbers, he was also learning the complex rules of life to those who had chosen this religious path.
It wasn’t all work, as boys will be boys. There was a lot of ‘horse play’ and other things, which could be found to do deep in the woods. From the older boys and men of the Brotherhood, Eioin learned fishing, trapping and basic farming. He learned how food was grown and how and when to harvest the wild rice, onions and the plentiful mushrooms within the forest.
The vast majority of the others attending lessons at the Brotherhood were kind and warm to Eioin, but the few who were not didn’t make this phase of his life very enjoyable.
Two years as a Svolsthevum and Eioin was raised up to the next rank, Vrullomuis (“Acolyte”). This was a time of extensive meditation and bookwork. For six moons, Eioin as a cleansing penance, undertook a vow of silence and instead spoke only in his mind during prayers to Corellon Larethian. It was upon completion of this task that his superiors knew he was serious about his desire to become a Humunous (“Priest”).
The protégé, Eioin at the very young and tender age of thirteen, the youngest ever to attain this level, was raised to Humunous and given the ironic title, Taraboosh (or “Father”). Before having the mantle of Humunous lowered to his shoulders, Eioin was interviewed and questioned by several of the Nvrastoll and Daglnoroithundai.
He was counseled and instructed as to what steps he should take to continue his path. He was to return to his life in the Boughsinger home. There he was to administer to the day-to-day functions of the household and the community. After he reached the age of twenty-one, he was to find his Elinoso (or “Life Quest”). Each individual who is true in the name of Larethian will receive a personal quest during this year of their lives.
The path further up from here is very clear and Eioin hasn’t stopped his desire to reach it. After his task completion, called in Elven Elinosoprestino (“the Endowment), he has the ability to petition the Brotherhood for entitlement as a Schalendogos of a given area, called in Elven, Parsarshish or be advanced to Muluiundai. It is very important to time this ascending properly. If a Humunous is advanced to Muluiundai he has up to three years to prove himself/herself in order to be promoted to Nvrastoll or else remain a Muluiundai and gain the “ep Sal” additional title after ten years service as a Muluiundai.
A Schalendogos (“Prior”) are only selected after they have studied and completely dedicated their being to the knowledge of Corellon Larethian and are chosen in a ceremony called the Meditoso Schalendogosi “Priory Consultation”. To be raised to Schalendogos is the most difficult achievement and is the most highly competitive of any of the steps within the Brotherhood of Corellon Larethian. However it isn’t a life position in so much as the Pommade may remove a Schalendogos for doctrine “misreadings”.
The Schalendogos report directly to the Pommade. The Muluiundai is an administrative position and is the point at which 90% of those religious members stop their accent. Muluiundai are named to be in charge of several facets of life within the Brotherhood. Historically, there have been Muluiundai Nahorgoh (Wheat Abbots- who are in charge of things to do with Wheat), Muluiundai Excolomentatoria (Ambassador Abbots- who are responsible for representing the Brotherhood in distant lands), and Muluiundai Parsarshish (Parrish Abbots- who closely oversee given parish territories). Anyone who has been a Muluiundai for more than twenty years is automatically given the title, Muluiundai epSal (“Senior Abbot”).
Daglnoroithundai (“Chancellor”) is a Muluiundai epSal who has been asked to return to the Brotherhood training center in order to lead the instruction to the next generation of Noathmundala.
There are five Schalendogos. Once named they remain in place until returned to Humunous status by the Pommade or they die. These individuals are the keepers of the books of faith for the five districts within the Emerald Forest. These positions are prized for their importance and respect and are given only to the most devout and dedicated. These are the judges who decide on basic disputes, which aren’t of enough importance to reach to the Pommade. There are recorded instances of Nvrastoll seeking and being named as Schalendogos, even though it is a vast reduction in status.
Those Humunous who are to become Muluiundai, are recommended by Nvrastoll, to His Holiness Pommade. The Pommade is the leader of the church. Among his numerous duties include; conferring all of the titles in the rank Muluiundai and above (based upon by recommendations), official recognition of foreign governments and religions, and the spiritual leader of the multitude of followers. The Pommade has a small army of Nvrastoll and Muluiundai to help him in his activities. He is a political entity in and of himself.
It is very clear if a Muluiundai is going to continue to climb to the next point, Nvrastoll. No Nvrastoll was ever a Muluiundai for more than three years. If an individual is raised to Muluiundai from Schalendogos (Prior) and remains a Muluiundai for longer than three years, a Muluiundai he will stay for the rest of his life. There have never been exceptions to this unwritten law.
Nvrastoll are the backbone of the Brotherhood. They interpret the dictates of the Pommade and ensure the lore, teachings, and religious beliefs of Corellon Larethian remain the same and are constant. Only those who can prove they are the most dedicated may be considered for this position. Their drive to keep the Corellon Larethian faith constant is the most important job the Nvrastoll (Bishops) have and it’s the reason the Corellon Larethian faith is the truest worship in all of Skell.
